The meaning of 'empathy' in relation to care work Importance of identifying and responding correctly to any changes in the condition or needs of an individual Actions to take if there are changes to the condition or needs of an individual Ways of managing own feelings if personal beliefs or culture are challenged Ways of maintaining a positive approach to the work and building own resilience Demonstrating the skills and behaviours expected of an adult care worker Working with individuals in a way that demonstrates compassion, dignity, respect for difference Seeking guidance and advice from others to support effective practice
