    Entry requirements and Expected Conduct

There are two main entry requirements

    • Being able to read
    • An honest person who does not cheat or deceive others.

Being able to read and comprehend learning resources written in English is a minumum entry requirement.

If a person cannot or will not read information provided to them, then that person will not meet this minimum requirement.

The ability to read is initially assessed by the learner's ability to read the full information published on this public page and being able to understand the contents.

An honest person who does not cheat or deceive others.

Anyone who wants to work in care must be of good character, as defined by the Fit and Proper Person Employed, which is Regulation 19 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.

Regulation 19 states that to be of good character, the person must have the character traits of honesty, trust, reliability and respect.

This is assessed by the honesty shown by the learner when completing assignments.

Honesty during assessments means no cheating and no deception, including not using AI to write assignment answers, and not copying the learning resources into answersheets and passing that off as your own knowledge when it is not.

  • How long will it take to complete

The qualification can be completed within 9 weeks.

    This depends on the learner.
