This qualification can be taken by learners preparing to enter employment, or by those who are already in employment in a care role and wish to develop specialist knowledge in relation to medication handling and administration.

 

The RQF is a qualification framework regulated by Ofqual.

    Once the buyer replies to the email request and provides the requested details, each learner gets a separate Learner Account on the Learning Management System (LMS), gets enrolled into the relevant learning resources, and a login email is sent to each learner with instructions on how to use their unique express sign-in link to login and access their learning account.

    • Hard copy certificates, issued by the awarding body, Highfield Qualifications. The original hard-copy certificates are sent to the learner by guaranteed registered mail, because it is the only original and cannot be lost.

     

  • Progression

    On successful completion, students can take on job roles that support the handling and administration of medication. 

  • 3 mandatory units to study

    The Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Medication Handling and Administration for Care Settings (RQF) is split into three manageable units;

    • Unit 1 - Introduction to medication types and processes
    • Unit 2 - Introduction to the principles of handling medication
    • Unit 3 -Introduction to the principles of administering medication

     

    How long will it take?

    The total qualification time (TQT) for this qualification is 145 hours and of this 120 are recommended as guided learning hours GLH). 

     

    How long it takes the learner depends on the learner. 

    Some learners dedicate time to study their coursework and complete their assignments in good time. 

    Other learners neglect their studies, and don't do the required work when they should, and it takes them longer  to finish. 

    It all depends on the learner.
